Creation Profiles [Amazon]

Creation Profiles inside the Salestio — Shopify Amazon Integration is a way to extend Amazon listing information with extra details or create a completely new Amazon listing if it is not yet present on the Amazon marketplace.

NB! To create a new Amazon Listing, it's important to have a product Barcode (UPC/EAN) or have a GTIN exemption active in your account. You can find more details of the GTIN exception in this article — How to Activate GTIN exemption

Creation Profiles is located along with other profiles and can be accessed via the main menu and the Creation Profiles tab

Every Creation profile is created for a single Amazon marketplace. For exporting products to multiple marketplaces, it is required to create a separate Creation profile for each marketplace.

The first step to creating a new "Creation Profile is to select one of the available marketplaces and define a name for it. Additionally, you should choose the number of images you would like to export to Amazon.

Other options have already been pre-filled to fetch the data from your Shopify product details. In the future, we plan to extend the variety of options and give the possibility to adjust how details can be transformed.

The next step is to connect products from Shopify Shop to Amazon categories and attributes.

Please take a look at this screenshot to get a better understanding of how to do it.

After selecting the Product Type you should fill in the list of attributes:

Amazon is not very accurate in providing required and optional fields. So even if an attribute is marked as required it is possible to skip filling it. In the worst-case scenario, Amazon will give a warning about it when the product is exported. So, it is always possible to add attributes later. The higher attribute is in the list, the greater the chance that Amazon will need it to create a listing.

When all available data is filled into the Amazon attribute list, please click the "Add mapping" button.

After that, the list of existing connections between Shopify Products and Amazon categories is displayed in the Creation Profile.

You can add multiple Mappings to the same Creation profile. So, you can just continue adding new mappings. In the end, the mapping list should cover all products that are planned to be exported to the Amazon marketplace.

The Creation profile can be edited later. It means that you can add, edit, or remove mapping lines that are no longer relevant.

Copy mapping in the Creation profile

This feature is useful when you need to add multiple similar mappings but with different fields. You can start by creating a new mapping in the Creation profile or use the existing one. Then the mapping is saved, and you will see the Duplicate icon next to the mapping. To duplicate the mapping, you should simply click it.

It will create a new mapping with the same mapping conditions, category and subcategory values, and values in the added fields.

In the new mapping, you can modify the mapping condition, for example, Product Type equals Men's Ring instead of Women's Ring. Also, you can modify the values in the added fields, for example, you can put Male instead of Female into the Gender field.

Please note that you are not able to modify category and subcategory values. This is because when the category is different, most likely the suggested fields are also different. If you want to modify the category, you will need to add a new mapping.

When all mappings are added, you should click the "Create Profile" button.

After the Creation profile is added, you will see it in the list of available profiles.

To delete the unneeded Creation Profile, simply click the 'Delete' button in the top left corner of the 'Edit Amazon Creation Profile' page.

Important! Make sure the Creation Profile is not linked to any Amazon Profiles. Otherwise, Salestio will not allow to delete it. If you still want to delete the Creation Profile, first remove it from the associated Amazon Profile.
