[Salestio General] Error: Add valid UPC/EANs to your products
To send products to Amazon, Salestio can use different sets of data, depending on your situation:
- Usually, a barcode to match against the Amazon product catalog.
- ASIN, when the barcode is missing.
- Creation data and GTIN exemption, when products without barcodes are not yet in the Amazon catalog.
When all three options are missing, publishing a product may return this error:
Add valid UPC/EANs to your products on Shopware. If products do not have them, add ASINs or activate the GTIN exemption on Amazon and configure product creation in Salestio.
If your product has a barcode, add it to the product page in your e-commerce store. To use an ASIN instead, specify it directly on the item in Salestio:
Items without a barcode and ASIN require a GTIN exemption and a detailed set of specifics for publishing on Amazon.
To set up product creation for a Selling List, follow the steps below:
- 1. Add a Creation Profile from Salestio > Profiles > Creation Profiles. This profile maps your website product categories to Amazon categories. Product specifics, like country of origin, materials, etc., should also be added here.
- 2. Edit your Amazon Profile in Salestio > Profiles > Amazon Profiles. Enable product creation, assign the Creation Profile, and enable the Amazon GTIN Exemption option.
- 3. Send the item to Amazon again.
