Error during submitting Selling Product with the title [Your Product Title] to Ebay. Ebay category not found for product, please adjust Creation Profile

This message might appear after you create the Selling List, add the products to it, and try to export this product to eBay or Etsy marketplace. The products will appear in the Error status.

This error means that Salestio doesn’t have the configuration added on how to convert details of Shopify products to marketplace listing. Below is the shortlist to verify the creation data.

Set up a Creation Profile and verify its settings

The Creation Profile sets a relation between Shopify product groups and the eBay categories that correspond to them. You can review and add new Creation Profiles in Salestio > eBay > Profiles > Creation Profiles. See the article below for a full guide to set it up:

Follow the steps below to make sure that the profiles are configured correctly:

Note the Shopify Category, Product Type, and Collections on the product in question. Check the mapping in the Creation Profile and make sure that the Conditions section satisfies the noted item properties.

For example, the mapping can be set to match “all conditions” with two collections selected: “spring jackets” and “winter jackets”. If the item is added to only one of the collections, change the settings to match “any condition”.

Remember to save the mapping and the Creation Profile after making changes.

Verify Ebay Profile settings

If you didn’t add any Ebay Profiles, check the “Ebay Profile” section in Selling List settings instead.

Make sure that product creation is enabled, and the correct Creation Profile is selected. Save the profile after making changes.

Open the Selling List settings and check the Ebay Profile section. Make sure that the correct profile is selected here:

After updating the profiles and settings, go back to the Selling List and send the item again to check the results.
