Resolve common errors when sending/updating products to eBay

This article highlights the most common errors when sending Shopify products to eBay and solutions to the issues.

After the issue is fixed, select the product in the Selling List and run the Send to eBay action again.

Check if the listing looks good to you on eBay.

If all looks good, select the whole Selling List or other products, and send them to eBay.

Ebay category not found for product, please adjust Creation Profile

This error indicates that the Creation profile is not configured or not assigned to the Selling List. Make sure that Product Creation is enabled in the Selling List (or eBay profile if you use it as a saved template) and the correct Creation Profile is assigned.

Also, check if the mapping condition (Product Type, Category and/or Collection) corresponds to the product that you are trying to send.

The quantity must be a valid number greater than 0.

By default, eBay supports listing products only with positive qty. If you would like to list items with 0 qty, consider changing the settings on your eBay account to use Out-of-stock control.

Another option is to stop eBay listing when it reaches 0 qty through the Selling List. For automatic action, update Salestio > Settings > eBay account-related settings.

Error during submitting a product to eBay. Please add the Item Location

Item Location is always required. You can set it in the eBay profile or in the Selling List if you do not use the eBay profile as a saved template.

To do so, go to Salestio > Profiles > eBay profile and open the connected profile. Put a checkmark to Additional Shipping details and add Shipping from Country and Shipping from Location.

Not found inventory by SKU

This error might appear when you are trying to Update the Linked products. It happens when "Use Inventory API" is enabled in the eBay profile configuration. Inventory API might be used to create products by some apps, for example, by old Shopify eBay app.

Salestio uses Trading API. So, there is no need to enable this checkbox to run the updates in Salestio.

To fix the error, go to Salestio > Profiles, open the associated eBay profile, and uncheck Use Inventory API. If you do not use eBay profiles as saved template, disable this checkbox in the Selling List settings.
