Salestio Settings

Much of Salestio's functionality works with the default configuration. If you would like to customize your Salestio installation to work better with your requirements, you can do so under the Settings page. To customize Salestio, go to Salestio > Settings from the top menu in the app.

The Settings page consists of the following blocks:

  • Salestio Settings
  • Amazon Settings
  • eBay Settings
  • Etsy Settings

This article explains the details of how to configure Salestio Settings. These settings are applied to all integrations regardless of the selected marketplace. For the marketplace-specific settings, check the respective articles.

Email Notifications

Salestio gives you the ability to receive email notifications if anything goes wrong with the listings and order updates. The email notifications are disabled by default.

You can receive email notifications on the following events:

  • Failed order import. The most common reasons for failed order import are missing SKUs or insufficient stock in Shopify. If you enable this notification, Salestio will send you an email every time the order import fails including the reason.
  • Failed fulfillment status on Amazon or eBay. After you fulfill the order in Shopify, Salestio sends the fulfillment back to Amazon and eBay. The fulfillment might not go through if some of the fulfillment details are missing. For example, if the order status is updated but a tracking code is not added.
  • Failed product updates (Update Error) for synced products. Sometimes price and quantity updates might fail for the connected products between Shopify and the selected marketplace. Salestio has a built-in retry mechanism to try and update the listings a couple of times. If it eventually fails, you can set the email notification. This way, you can take a closer look and resolve the update issue.
  • Account (Amazon, eBay, Etsy) got expired. When you link a marketplace account to Salestio, the connection is authorized for a limited time. You can get an email notification for expired connections by enabling this option. Otherwise, an expired account notification is found on the Dashboard.

After you check at least one of the options, Salestio offers you to add the email address where you would like to receive the notifications to. Enter the preferred address. It can be different from the Shopify email address. Click Use default shop email for notifications to replace the text field below with the email address connected to your Shopify store.

Location Settings

This option might come in handy when you use multiple Shopify locations. When Salestio imports orders to Shopify, it selects the default location for you to fulfill the order. You can change it when you actually go through the fulfillment process. Enabling this setting, allows you to specifically select the location from which the orders are going to be fulfilled.

To set the preferred location, put a checkmark in front of "Select the default warehouse to create orders in Shopify". You will see the dropdown list with the added Locations from your Shopify store. Click "Save" to submit the edits.

Shopify Orders Specifics

Salestio allows adding customizing some of the options for the imported orders in Shopify. You can configure the following app behavior:

  • Export order id to Shopify. When selected, Salestio will replace the order ID for imported orders with the one from a marketplace:

  • Convert the currency of the imported orders to my store currency. This option might be useful for sellers who sell their products on marketplaces with different currencies. By default, Salestio does not perform currency conversion when importing eBay and Amazon orders to Shopify. Enabling this option allows you to select from the following currencies: CAD, USD, AUD, EUR, GBP, and MXN. Once it is enabled, Salestio will import orders based on the Shopify built-in currency conversion rates.

Metafield Updates

You can use Shopify metafields to add more flexible configurations to the profiles when sending products to eBay and Amazon. By default, Salestio pulls metafields updates from your Shopify store once every four hours. If you would like to manually trigger the metafield updates, you can do so from the settings.

Here you can find a short description of the metafields updates process, the button to trigger the updates, and the date and time of the last update.

If you see the loading circle on the button, the metafields update is in progress.

After you add or edit metafields on Shopify products and variation pages, make sure that the update when through before sending the products to the selected marketplace. You can find more information on how to use Shopify metafields in Salestio in the following article.

Products Updates

Salestio keeps its own tab of your Shopify product list. Automatic product updates happen every day, but you can speed up the process by clicking the "Refresh products data" button.

Shopify Product statuses added to Salestio

By default, Drafts and Archive products are hidden from the app, and you can't add them to a Selling list. If you want to list such items, select them here and click "Save"

Default Integration

You select the default integration right after you install Salestio to your Shopify store. This selection determines only the home page when opening the app, and keeps the other functionality. It is possible to change it later at any point. Available options are:

  • Amazon
  • eBay
  • Etsy

SKU mapping file

SKU mapping allows you to connect products with different SKUs on Shopify and the connected marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, Etsy). This is particularly useful for ensuring accurate order imports across all platforms.

To add a mapping, create a CSV file with two columns: Salestio SKU | Marketplace SKU. Salestio will match the products from marketplaces to the corresponding SKUs in the list. This mapping applies to order importing and item sync.

After a SKU mapping file is uploaded, Salestio will use the mappings to import new orders with the correct products, based on the SKU mappings instead of the actual product SKUs.

The mapping on the general Settings page applies to all connected marketplaces. To add an individual mapping for a specific marketplace account, go to the corresponding account page in the sidebar.
